Migrations Migrations to Microsoft 365

Email, files and calendars — moved with rehearsals, delta syncs and clear comms. Minimal downtime, clean permissions and rollback points.

Google → M365 Box/Dropbox → SharePoint File shares → SharePoint Exchange on-prem → EXO Coexistence & cutover

From scattered drives → structured SharePoint

Before
  • My Drive/Box/Dropbox sprawl and duplicates.
  • Long paths & illegal characters block moves.
  • External links break after cutover.
After
  • Hub/site IA with shallow folders + metadata.
  • Pre-flight remediation (names, paths, sizes).
  • Sharing re-created with owners and expiry.
Outcome: content is tidy, searchable, governed from day one.

From risky “big bang” → rehearsed two-pass moves

Before
  • Weekend cutovers with unknown duration.
  • No dry-run or rollback; users left waiting.
  • Missed DNS and profile steps cause chaos.
After
  • Pilot, then bulk pre-seed + delta syncs.
  • Runbooks for DNS/Autodiscover and devices.
  • Clear comms & “day-one” guides per persona.
Outcome: predictable timings, tiny cutover windows.

From mailbox pain → smooth EXO migration

Before
  • Legacy public folders & oversized PSTs.
  • Free/busy broken during coexistence.
  • Mobile clients keep old profiles.
After
  • Migration batches with throttling & retries.
  • Hybrid or staged with working free/busy.
  • Profile/Autodiscover scripts and mobile steps.
Outcome: clean mail flow, intact calendars and archives.

How we build (Migrations)

01

Discover

sources • size • risks

Inventory sources, volumes, sharing patterns and constraints. Define success and the cutover window.

Migrations — FAQ

What sources do you support?

Exchange on-prem, Google Workspace (Gmail/Drive/Calendar), Box, Dropbox, file shares/NAS and SharePoint Server — all mapped to Exchange Online, SharePoint and OneDrive with the right approach per source.

Which tools do you use?

Microsoft-native first (Exchange migration batches, Migration Manager/SPMT, M365 data migration wizards). If a gap exists (complex permissions, terabyte-scale deltas), we’ll use a proven third-party toolset and document everything.

Google Docs/Sheets/Slides?

Converted to Office formats during migration with a report of items that couldn’t auto-convert. Sharing is translated to SharePoint/OneDrive where possible and owners are notified.

Permissions and external shares?

We export ACLs, translate when supported, rebuild critical external shares, and issue “new links” with expiry that align to your governance policy.

Downtime expectations?

Email: short cutover window (minutes) for MX/DNS. Files: background copy with a final delta out of hours to avoid locks. Users get clear day-one steps.

Path length / illegal characters?

Pre-flight reports catch long paths, reserved names and invalid characters; we remediate before the move to prevent failures.

Calendars, labels and archives (PST)?

Calendars and folders/labels are mapped where supported. We enable archive mailboxes and ingest PSTs or replace them with retention to avoid future sprawl.
